About the project

Currently, we are looking for a Systems Analyst to join an established leader in the telecommunications industry with over 20 years of experience delivering turnkey services that keep homes and businesses connected across the UK. We are looking for a Systems Analyst to turn client requirements into dashboards and applications. You will work with the IT team and external partners, develop solutions in Power BI and Power Apps, support automation with Power Automate, and use SQL and Azure to optimize systems while ensuring clear documentation and accessible data.

Your duties

As a System Analyst, you will be responsible for:

- Designing, developing, and deploying analytical solutions in Power BI using multiple data sources.
- Writing SQL queries confidently, with working knowledge of performance optimization, stored procedures, and data modeling.
- Supporting the delivery of services and applications within the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), primarily maintaining existing apps with opportunities to contribute to new solutions.
- Ensuring all technical tasks are fully documented with clear steps and user stories.
- Generating consistent documentation for data products to ensure accessibility and knowledge sharing.
- Working closely within a small systems team to meet project deliverables.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and provide effective solutions.
- Performing problem-solving activities and presenting solutions in a clear and professional manner.

Requirements

- 3+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong skills in SQL (confident in queries; basic knowledge of optimization, stored procedures, and data modeling).
- Proficiency in Power BI (including DAX and advanced reporting).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and solution-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Evidence of motivation, drive, and ability to work independently.
- English language Upper Intermediate (B2) is a must.

Nice to have:

- Experience with the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate; mainly support/maintenance, design knowledge is a plus).
- Knowledge of Azure and API integration (nice to have).
